I was saddened to hear of Austin's death and wish to send our heartfelt condolences to the family. Although we were cousins, I chose him to deliver my first daughter, Carin. I still can remember watching him half running into Hackley Hospital to deliver her. Rest easy, Austin.

Dr. Aardema was the kindest, most caring, and gentle physician. I was honored to work as his CMA for nearly 14 years. He had a fun sense of humor, worked hard, and loved his family. I am so sorry for the loss to his family, friends, and medical community.

Very sorry to hear of Austin's passing. As a neighbor and friend of the entire family for many years, I have great memories of time spent with Austin and his wonderful children. Thinking of all of you during these difficult days. May god bless your family and cherish all of the memories.
