Robert Eugene Teufel, 78 of Elizabethtown, PA went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on January 7, 2018 in Florida. Born April 4, 1939, he was the son of Eugene & Elsa Teufel.
Bob grew up in Elizabethtown, PA and graduated from Elizabethtown High School and College. He played football, basketball and baseball in high school and college, earning many honors including being inducted into the hall of fame at EAHS. He was a member of the Army Reserves. Bob owned Teufel Orthotic-Prosthetic Associates where he worked for 48 years, helping many people. He was a member at Evangelical Free Church of Hershey, then later was a regular attendee at LCBC Church.
He was known as an extremely generous, kind and hard working man who was always making a new friend. Bob was an avid golfer and fisherman and loved sports and games of all kinds. He especially enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play. Bob always had a joke to tell and some candy to give away.
Robert leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 55 years, Jean Zarfoss Teufel; four daughters, Lynn Max (Jerry), Kelly Wieand (Jason), Joy Epler (Todd) & Krissy Wright (Richard); ten beloved grandchildren, Jenna, Jill, Paige, Christian, Cole, Colin, Jaide, Nathaniel, Lily & Zachary; and two great grandsons, Levi & Carter. He was predeceased by his sister, Hanne Kreider.
A memorial service to honor Bob's life will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 6:00 pm at LCBC church, 2392 Mt. Joy Rd. Manheim, PA. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be sent to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research @ michaeljfox.org or P. O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
