Robert Paul Podgorski

Robert Paul Podgorski, age 75, passed away on June 3, 2023 at home surrounded by loving family and his dogs.

Bob was born in Miami to the late Olga and Stanley Podgorski.

Bob had four sons: Christopher, Bryan, Robert, and Benjamin.

Bob served proudly and retired from the United States Navy after 24 years.

Bob was a lifetime orchid grower with many happy hours spent in the greenhouse. Bob was proud of his involvement in the South Florida orchid judging program; his knowledge was vast. Bob will be remembered by his family and friends as “Mr. Orchid.”

A Memorial Mass for Robert Paul Podgorski will be held at St. Columbkille Catholic Church (12171 Iona Rd., Fort Myers, FL 33908) on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM.

Bob’s remains will be interred at Sarasota National Cemetery at a later date.
