Richard Blaine Parham Jr

It is with great sadness that we send Richard Blaine “Rusty” Parham Jr. home to the Lord. Rusty, age 57, of Fort Myers passed away Sunday August 9th, 2020. He was born in Fort Myers where he built a beautiful life full of love and joy.

He is survived by his daughters Holly and Emily, their mother Jennifer Parham, his mother Velma Parham, his sister Kim Alonso, her husband Glenn, their children Jacob and Callie, and his little dog Charlie. Rusty was a fierce friend and leaves behind a close knit group of fellow Canterbury School graduates that became family. His presence will be sorely missed on the Golf course, fishing trips on the boat, but most of all in the kitchen. Rusty's larger than life personality, sense of humor, and booming laugh cannot be forgotten. He was an avid storyteller, whether talking about his childhood in North Fort Myers, his 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, or what the dog had done just before you walked in the room. He had a way with words and often truly claimed he could “sell ice to a polar bear.” If he wasn't cooking for his family, or enjoying a Dolphins game, he could be found giving advice, wanted or not, to someone in the room. His proudest accomplishment are his daughters who will miss him dearly.

A small service will be held for family in Naples, Saturday August 22nd. In lieu of flowers hug your loved ones tight and support a no-kill animal shelter.
