Ordway , Ralph F. age 76, of Ft Myers Florida, formerly of Riverside RI, born in Providence, RI, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Thursday June 23, 2022.  Born October 30, 1945 in Providence RI, Ralph, was the loving son of the late Ralph Ordway Jr and Marilyn Ordway (Esser), and brother to predeceased siblings Elizabeth A. Ralph, known as “Buddy” by friends and family, was a devoted and selfless father, brother, uncle, and grandfather who always put family and friends above his own needs.  He absolutely adored his grandchildren, spending quality time with them, and attending their athletics events.  Ralph was a deeply religious man who found comfort in the power of prayer.  He cherished fun times with friends and family; especially numerous road trips with his family to and from RI.   He had a passion for classic cars and auto racing, which he shared with his son.
Ralph courageously served in Vietnam, as a member of the United States Army, where he was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star.  He worked for the United States Post Office until his retirement ten years ago.  Ralph is survived by his son Ralph Ordway IV (wife April) of Fort Myers, FL, grandson Dylan, daughter Rose Stevens (husband David) of Riverside RI, grandchildren Jenna Marilyn and David Jr, daughter Melissa Ordway of Riverside RI, grandchildren Bryanna, Julius, and Julianna, brother Kenneth Ordway (wife Terry), brother, Raymond Ordway (wife Marie), and sister Joan D’ambra (husband Phil).
