She was one of two children and was predeceased by her brother Stanford Johnson of Charlotte, NC. After attending Winthrop College, Linda moved to Tampa, FL where she met her late husband, Roger Owen Weidenkopf. They eloped to Nassau, Bahamas in 1957, and were married for fifty-three years. She also enjoyed tennis at the Fort Myers Racquet Club, where even more friendships were formed. Later, she and Roger were members of Cypress Lake Country Club, Fiddlesticks, and The Forest Country Club were they resided since 1985. Linda had a precise and determined soul and was loved by many in our community. She was dedicated to her daughters and granddaughters and had a very compassionate and generous spirit. To the end, her mind was strong and still precise, but her physical health could not keep pace. She will be missed by her family and friends.
