Lawreta M Emerson

Lawreta May Cassidy Emerson passed away in her home with her family at her side on August 3, 2022 after a brief illness.
Lawreta was born in Cupar, Scotland on August 3, 1945. She lived much of her adult life in Canada where she made many dear, lifelong friends. She moved to Ft. Myers and proudly became a U.S. citizen.
Lawreta was a loving wife, “mum”, grandmother, and friend. She loved to garden. Neighbors, friends, and family enjoyed her canal-side garden. It was a perfect spot to sit and enjoy nature.
Lawreta is survived by her husband, Robert W. Emerson, of Ft Myers, her extended Emerson family of sons, daughters in law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, as well as her brothers Terry (Theresa) Bryden of Vancouver Canada and Adam (Nell) Smith of Toronto Canada.
Lawreta will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her family and her friends.
A private memorial service will be held in Rochester, NH at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers any memorial donations be sent to the Salvation Army.
