Joseph Stephen Hicar

Joseph Stephen Hicar, 83, formerly of Streetsboro, died Saturday May 18, 2019 in Cape Coral, Florida.
He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 27, 1936, to John & Susanne (nee Zachar) Hicar.
Joseph enlisted in the United States Air Force in November 1954, received and Honorable discharge in August of 1958. He retired from General Motors in 1998. Joe was an avid outdoors man, he spent may years hunting, fishing with his son’s and friends. He also enjoyed the game of golf. He played in many tournaments with his daughter and son’s. He also enjoyed traveling and many years in the family lakeside property in Port Clinton, OH. He recently moved down to sunny Florida in June of 2018. He loved going to the beaches where he would sit for hours enjoying people watching and listening to music, going to restaurants.
Joseph was proceeded in death by his Wife Catherine of 64 years, his son’s Joseph L. Hicar and Richard C. Hicar. Joseph is also survived by his daughters, Cheryl Carnevale (Al), Cynthia Trefny (Chuck), Carolyn Roth ( Mark); son Daniel Hicar (Barb); 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and very dear friends.
