Jonathan Leo Bee, age 67 died September 21, 2021 in Fort Myers Florida.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan to John and Rita Bee. He was the ninth of ten children.Jonathan is survived by his wife Beatriz of 38 years marriage, his brothers Robert, Christopher, Anthony, Thomas, and his sister Colette.

Jonathan was an aviation buff from childhood even hanging his assembled model airplanes from his bedroom ceiling. In addition to his being well versed in the topics of aviation, and automotive. Jonathan had a keen interest in history particularly WWII aircrafts.  He was also an amateur photographer taking many photographs throughout his life experiences.  Years ago, as he volunteered at the Detroit Institute of Arts,  one of his favorite photographs was selected to be displayed in the prestigious gallery at the Museum. Shooting over 8000 photos, Jonathan captured amazing views of scenes and scenery throughout his travels. He will daily used to quote Hernri Cartier-Bresson: “To photograph is to hold one’s breath, when all faculties converge to capture feeling and reality."
 
Upon completion of his degree from Lawrence Institute of Technology in Michigan, Jonathan worked  for many years as an automotive designer in the Motor City.  Jonathan continued his successful career working for the Boeing Company in Everett, Washington as an aeronautical interior designer  and touched all Boeing models available at the time. 
 
Jonathan met the love of his life Beatriz in 1980 and married her three years later after she completed her studies in Paris, France. Jonathan was an incurable romantic, an artist, a poet and a true Renaissance man combining his Joie de Vivre, as he lived fully happy and complete with love, technical skills and the love of life, culture, architecture and art. 
His Marriage with Beatriz was a match made in heaven as Jonathan and Beatriz enjoyed traveling not only in the United States but throughout the world.

He and his wife lived in Michigan for several years then moved to Mukilteo, Washington State, where Jonathan began working for Boeing. Upon retirement from Boeing, Jonathan and Beatriz moved to Florida where they made their home for the past year and a half .
 
Jonathan treasured every day and lived each day to the fullest. He was a man of deep faith and devotion to God and his beloved wife whom he treasured "mi amorcito corazon.”  Jonathan was known by neighbors, friends and colleagues as an honorable, kind and generous man. Jonathan will always be remembered as a dear son, brother and devoted husband.

Funeral service and mass is being planned for Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 at 11:00AM at St.Columbkille Parish.
Jonathan’s final resting place will be at the at St. Columbkille Memorial Garden.
