Beverly Mae Kirkland

On Saturday, July 27, 2019, Beverly Mae (Smith/Williams/Brawner) Kirkland was granted her wish to be reunited with her former husband, James C. Brawner. A devout Christian, her favorite pastime nearly to the end was to sing old hymns.
She was born on May 1, 1935, to Hilburn E. Smith and Fairy Etta (Williams) Smith, in Everglades City, Florida.
She was preceded in death by both parents, an unborn child, sisters Lois Walker, Geneva Gunn, Marie Ludlow, Charlotte Provost and Hildred Smith. She is survived by her children, Debbie (Paul) Canady, Diana (Tim) Stansell, Jim (Lee Ann) Brawner, Kathy Harrison and Kim Brawner, as well as her brothers, Rufus Smith, Ed Smith and Philip Smith and sister, Lucretia Castor, ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.
