ANGOLA – Alfred Paul Carson, 91, of Angola, passed away March 26, 2018 at his home in Ft. Myers, Florida surrounded by his family.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. April 19, 2018 at St. Anthony-Padua Catholic Church, Angola, Indiana with Father Bernie officiating. A private service will be held at a later date at Circle Hill Cemetery.
Alfred worked for Textron for many years. He loved nothing better than getting together with family and reminiscing about the past and things that they did growing up. His memory will last for years to come as he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Alfred enjoyed riding his bike, walking, talking with everyone. He especially enjoyed his morning driveway meetings and walks with his dear friend, Mike Paese and anyone else that would drop in for conversation.
Born August 19, 1926, Alfred was the son of the late Charles and Clotilde Carson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Maxine; daughter, Karen Counterman; sister, Rita Corley and brother, Wilfred Carson.
Survivors include his sons, Paul (Deneice) of Angola, IN; Kevin (Jenette) of Swansboro, NC; 11 grandchildren; 17 of great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Gladys Jones (Red), brother, Robert Carson, and friends and neighbors whose visits have meant so much to him.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Anthony-Padua Catholic Church, 700 W. Maumee St., Angola, IN 46703 or to Hope Hospice Care Services, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Ft. Myers, FL 33908 in memory of Alfred Carson.
