Humphrey Fedorak

Humphrey Fedorak passed away peacefully on July 18, 2017, five weeks after being diagnosed with cancer. Born on September 1, 1930 in the town of Smoky Lake, Alberta Canada, he was 86 years old. He was the son of William Fedorak and Lena Stolarchuk. He graduated from Radio College of Canada and then the University of Alberta with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He became a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, Canada. After graduation he worked for Ontario Hydro on the St. Lawrence Seaway Project. He moved to the United States in 1960, to be a Consulting Engineer for Construction of the Pump Generating Station on the Niagara Falls. He then worked as an engineer for the DuPont Company in Buffalo, New York, and Seaford Delaware. He finished his career with DuPont working in Wilmington, Delaware.

Humphrey and his wife Joan, retired to Fort Myers, Florida where he enjoyed golfing, playing cribbage, attending concerts and traveling to many countries. He was a lifetime Elder of the Presbyterian Church in various cities; most recently he was an active member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, Fort Myers.

Humphrey was pre-deceased by his parents, brothers George and Russell Fedorak and his sister Florence Hewko, all of Edmonton.

He was a loving husband to his wife Joan for 60 years. He is also survived by his Vivian (Lenny) Hill of Fort Myers and Brenda (Peter) Bilous of Wilmington, Delaware. Grandchildren include Allison (Eric) King of Dumfries, Virginia, Kevin (Amanda) Hill of Tampa, Florida, and Jason and Melinda Bilous of Wilmington, Delaware. Humphrey also had 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Humphrey will be buried at Lower Brandywine Cemetery next to the Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, Delaware on Friday July 28, 2017 at 1 pm. A Memorial Service will also be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Fort Myers, Florida on Saturday, August 5th at 2 pm.

Memorial donations to honor Humphrey may be made to the Covenant Presbyterian Memorial Fund, 2439 McGregor Blvd, Fort Myers, Fl. 33901
